Heroin

Heroin is gaining popularity as a drug of choice for many people and it easy to understand why.  The high is very fast and drives our levels of dopamine in our brain to very high levels,  giving the user the escape from life they are looking for. But, the reason for it's increased abuse is that the high is short lived, creating a need for continued use.  The physical signs of Heroin withdrawal are rarely fatal or even dangerous, but can be unpleasant. Experiences vary based on length of use and dosage that you are accustomed to taking on a regular basis.

 

Common withdrawal signs and symptoms include:

 

  • Insomnia

  • Diarrhea

  • Cold flashes

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Bone pain

  • Involuntary kicking movements

  • Irritability

  • Cramping
