VOLUNTEER
Volunteers fill vital roles in the operation of The MirIAM, Inc. They assist the staff in numerous ways. Whatever your interest or skills, there is an opportunity for you to get involved as a MirIAM volunteer! No experience is needed, only a love for helping others in need.
Volunteering at The MirIAM, Inc. carries significant responsibilities and endless opportunities to learn and become a part of a loving and giving environment created for those in need of our support, love and understanding. All volunteers, once accepted, must attend and successsfully pass the volunteer training course. We thank you for your interest in becoming a MirIAM volunteer!

We ask for a regular commitment of time. Preferably once or twice a week (or maybe every other week). Due to the nature of our volunteer requirements at The MirIAM Inc., "drop-in" volunteers cannot be accommodated.
The Volunteer Application Process:

Completed application with copy of a photo ID. Resumes are accepted as well.

Personal interview: An opportunity for the prospective volunteer to learn about volunteer job opportunities. The interview helps the Volunteer Coordinator identify which job is best for the candidate.

Background check.

Drug Test. To include a list of all medications you are currently taking.

Orientation Session: This is to familiarize volunteers with The MirIAM, Inc. policies and procedures.

Training: Volunteer training is a course that all volunteers complete prior to serving at The Miriam Inc.
