Opiates

Prescription opiates are highly abused.

These drugs include Morphine, Percocet, Vicodin, Dilaudid, Norco, and Hydrocodone. Symptoms can start as early as 12 hours after withdrawal.   

 

Early symptoms of withdrawal include:

  • Agitation

  • Anxiety

  • Muscle aches

  • Increased tearing

  • Insomnia

  • Runny nose

  • Sweating

  • Fatigue

 

Late symptoms of withdrawal include:

  • Abdominal cramping

  • Diarrhea

  • Dilated pupils

  • Goose bumps

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Emotional irritability
